My sculpture is wholly focused on American wildlife, specially the fauna of the North Central region. These sculptures are all life size and the imagery is representational. My style is impressionistic, fluid and spontaneous, intent upon capturing movement and natural gestures.
The sculptures are made from salvaged and reclaimed steel, making them environmentally friendly. The durability of steel lends itself to the natural landscape and will require minimal maintenance. the finished product will include a traditional patina coloring of reddish brown, along with a state of the art Permalaq seal coat. This finish may require touch up in approximately 10 years. As you can see from the “Egret in the Garden” the rusted metal makes a beautiful contrast to green foliage.
With my pieces, you can look into and through them. It creates an interesting dynamic with the space. The three dimensional aspect of my sculpture allows you to walk around it and appreciate it from every vantage point.
