WORK METHODS   I build in a three dimensional manner, constantly rotating and welding, so the sculpture can be appreciated from every vantage point. I try to convey the emotions of the person or animals movements to the viewer and hopefully create a connection between them.  I am also very aware of the negative spaces that occur as I weld my piece together and they are equally as important in defining the figure.  Let the viewer’s eyes fill in these shapes into what appeals most to them.

ARTISTIC APPROACH On another level I want the viewer to see the steel for what it is hot, molten, jagged, twisted and rusty pieces of metal. The previous life of this material is in beautiful contrast to the life and movement of the human or animal. The sculptures are made from salvaged and reclaimed steel, making them environmentally friendly.
